Definition of happiness: a state of well-being and contentment: JOY

Definition of syndrome: a set of concurrent things (such as emotions or actions) that usually form an identifiable pattern

This is the story of the Smith family from Texas who are taking a difficult medical diagnosis (Pfeiffer syndrome) and choosing to  combat it with all the characteristics that make for a happy life. We are going to take this word "syndrome" that we have grown so tired of hearing, wrap our arms around it and hug it so tight that it has to grow into something beautiful, hence, The Happiness Syndrome.

Our hope is that by telling our story we can help raise awareness and acceptance for children with craniosynostosis syndromes. We also would love to connect with other families in our situation to let them know they are not alone.
